Hamamelis Virginiana
Native Witch Hazel is an attractive, deer resistant tree that requires little to no pruning. If pruning is necessary, it should be done in early spring. This tree is known for its fall-blooming clusters of fragrant bright yellow flowers with four crinkly, ribbon-shaped petals, which appear along the branches from October to December, usually after leaf drop but sometimes at the time of fall color.
